New York City
Well Hello Everyone!
Made it to NYC and all is good. As usual, the city is always full of interesting people. Since we were up so early this morning, and are going to a Broadway Show this evening, we have not done much yet today, other then had a really interesting lunch.
But first, I want to talk about Ramona. We are staying at the Lexington Hotel, a very nice old hotel. However, when we tried to check in and yes, it was early, it was only 11 AM, but Ramona at the front desk was VERY RUDE and stated since check out was just now, and there were SOO MANY rooms to be cleaned, we could not check in and it would be at least 4 PM before our room would be ready. REALLY???? Ramona was not kind at all. We checked our bags at the Bell Hop and wondered for a bit, had a bite to eat, and then went back to the hotel because we both wanted to work for awhile. Well, we just happened to check at the front desk, where there was a different person working, who was VERY kind and said well of course your room is ready, I apologize that you had to wait!! Imagine that.
But, all in all, the room and the hotel are very nice, like I said, an older building but really nice.
The rest of the gang will be here tomorrow, so that is when all of the fun and activities will start.
Now to back up. The flight out was good, of course, less then two hours, but I got a special treat strictly by accident. I really was not hungry, but I knew I needed to eat, so I got the Hot Breakfast, and to my surprise, there was salmon with this. Now I love Salmon. There were also fresh peaches, blackberries, (the bagel, of course I did NOT eat that, nor did I eat the oatmeal because I was not sure what was in it, and I ate the grapefruit pieces. ) What can be better then starting the day off with salmon!
Like I said, we have not done too much but I am going to clean up and then we are headed out to our show and have a drink first, and then stop on the way back for another.
I will share more of NYC Times tomorrow.
For now KIDZ, HYDRATE, HYDRATE, HYDRATE, get up and move, and put a smile on your face!
