My Journey

My Life, one day at a time!
Short But Sweet

Short But Sweet

Today is Sunday, but I wanted to put a quick post out here.  I don’t want you to forget about me!

First, I can’t believe it is Sunday afternoon already!  Time goes so damn fast, can I put the brakes on it?

I have had a wonderful weekend.  I did not due anything to exciting or elaborate, but it has been nice.

It started Friday afternoon when I received a package in the mail with the cutest little sample set from Caroline’s Dream. I have not had the time to try these yet, but as soon as I do, I will post about them.  I will also put a short comment on IG about these.  How cute is this!  Thank You Caroline’s Dream!

We mostly ran errands this weekend, walked out Saturday for lunch and had a very nice visit, just with MH, but sometimes, because life is so busy, you don’t get the time to sit and visit.

I also got some new sneakers, badly needed.  Since just about ALL I wear is my sneakers, I go through them very fast.  I went with the Hoka’s again, only because they did not have any new colored Altra’s.  These are the only two sneakers I wear any more, because they have the BIG toe box, and they work best for me.  I will post some pics of the tomorrow.

This was pretty much my weekend.  Oh, Saturday, because we went grocery shopping, I prepped a BUNCH of produce for the week.  I like to have these cleaned and  prepared, makes getting meals together much easier and quicker.  I picked up some rhubarb from the market.  I like plain rhubarb every once in awhile, just something different.

I also cut up strawberries and froze them.  I have been eating the frozen grapes as a snack, I thought the frozen strawberries would be good also.

In regards to my goals.  I don’t track over the weekends, only because my schedule on weekends is so off, but I do know that I have been drinking a lot of water, probably much more the 100 oz.  My protein intake may be a bit low, but my walking is much higher.  I will update all of these again tomorrow.

We also watched the movie “Snatched”.  This was hilarious.  I think I laughed most of the way through it.  If you have not seen it, and are looking for good comedy, check it out.  I cannot believe that Goldie Hawn is 72 years old!  WOW!!!!

Well buckaroos!  I hope everyone’s weekend was as good as mine.

I think that’s all I have for today.  Again, please send comments, suggestions, critics???  I am open to all.

And remember, stay active, get up and move, be happy, keep a smile on your face, be thankful, tomorrow is a promise to no one, and Hydrate!!!  LOTS!  (Maybe give your fur kid a hug as well)

Until tomorrow
