Feels like Summer is back!

Feels like Summer is back!

Had some errands to run just now, of course I walked to them, and I may have worked up a slight sweat.  I think summer is making it’s last hurrah, GOOD!  I am not near ready for cooler weather.

In keeping track of sleep, energy levels and metabolic burn, I am learning that the quality of my sleep greatly reflects on my metabolic burn.  For example, I slept pretty good Sunday Night, and this was my IMG_2153    Monday Night I did not sleep good at all, and my calorie burn yesterday was much less.    IMG_2168I did sleep good last night, so again, a better metabolic burn.  That for me is exciting, now I just need to figure out how to sleep better.  Last night I used some of IMG_2083 right before I went to bed on my shoulders and neck.  I had also gotten a lavender scented diffuser for our room, and I also sprayed my pillow with lavender essential oil.  Maybe all of this helped.

MS has told me that if I do not lift heavier, and eat more, I will NOT get lean and gain muscle, well, this sounds like a challenge to me.  I thought I had been lifting heavier, but this week, I have really kicked it  up a notch.IMG_2152

Today was back and bi day, my work out was:

Bent Over Row

Standing Dumb Bell Curl

Pull Over

Alt Hammer Curl

Rear Fly

1-Arm Concentration Curls

I added some pull ups, kettle bell squats and abs, and a lot of stretching.  I TRIED to move up on the weight on eat set, I did 10 reps of 4 sets each.

Well, some exciting times coming up.  I am going on a short trip to Denver with MH soon, and after that, we are taking a long weekend over Thanksgiving.  I know these are short travels, but I am really looking forward to them.  I have not been to Denver in a LONG time, maybe 30 years or more.  We will be staying near the airport, so if anyone has suggestions on a good Gluten Free restaurant, or things to do, let me know.  I will be sure to share pictures and stories.

I have gotten hooked on this new kitchen appliance we have just got.  You can do so many things with it, in a very short amount of time, and make them very healthy.  The bad thing is, because it is to easy and quick, it could get habit forming.  Last evening for dinner I made a pseudo pancake, I used protein powder, egg white, oatmeal, some blueberries and peanut butter.  This literally took about 5 minutes and was really good.  I neglected to take a picture, since I dug into it right away.  This was very low sugar, high protein, and tasty!  Next time I will take a  picture.

Netflix binge watching:  Netflix has some really good series, and when you find the good one, they are really addictive.   OTB is one of those, as well as Wentworth, and now we found Blindside.  There are already three seasons of this out there and we just started watching this.  Every episode makes you want to watch the next one right away!  What’s up with Danny’s son?  What do you think he is up to and why has he come back???

I was contacted by a local Atlanta magazine to do a short article on my company, ATW Equipment, and how I got started in that.  I just finished up with that today, so I will be anxious to see this when it is published.  Maybe it will help my business.
