Kicking’ it on a Dreary Monday
Hello Happy People,
Well, ok, I don’t really know if you are happy or not, but I feel good today so I want EVERYONE to feel good.
What a wonderful weekend. Well, ok, maybe not so good because our College Football team lost again, BUT, they played really well against a very good team. I have high hopes for next weeks game. GBR! Hopefully, OD will come over and watch with us again.
And another not so good thing. We were watching the Texans play, JJ Watts is probably one of my favorite players right now, and saw him get injured. When a football player grimaces like that, you KNOW it hurts. I feel so bad for him that he will be out for the season due to his leg injury. He did so much good when Harvey hit, I suggest we all send him wishes for a speedy recovery!
But on a good note. We had lunch yesterday at a new Korean Bar B Que place, K-Factory. Honestly, we were a little disappointed when we walked in, it seemed a bit too upscale for a quick lunch. But, once we ordered, and they started us out with all of the spicy vegetables and tofu, it was a whole different story. The food here is very good, it has just the right amount of spice, a big variety of vegetables, different types of tofu, rice cakes, and the meat and vegetables was perfect. The staff was very attentive, visited the perfect amount, and all in all, this is a great place. Way to go K-Factory!
Despite not sleeping so good last night, I did get a good work out in this morning. Mr, G and I started off with a good walk, a little over 3 miles. I took a different route to mix things up. That always helps. Then, I got a great work out in, I had listened again to one of my favorite people, Jessica Guthro, and her brief podcasts on the benefits of stairs. So of course, I had to run some stairs in the building this morning. That will definitely get your heart rate up there.
You readers in the Boulder Area. We had thought about going to the Tea place in Boulder, but it was suggested to us that we go to Dushanbe tea house. Has anyone been to either, and if yes, what would your suggestion be?
I can’t comment on any good things I made over the weekend, because we basically cleaned up a lot of leftovers. But, for dinner this evening I am making Lamb Blade Chops, Corn and Cucumber salad. Lamb has really gotten to be one of my favorite meats. I will post pics later this evening or tomorrow.
Well gang, since the Chinese are back from their holiday, I am really busy today, but I needed a brief break. Now I am good to go back to work.
