My Journey

My Life, one day at a time!
Hello all you peoples out there!

Hello all you peoples out there!

Well Hello There, how is everyone today?  Maybe it is the cooler weather, my body seems to be in SLOOOOW MOTION the last couple of days.  All is good, just can’t get my self kicked into high gear!

Neither MH or I were that hungry for dinner last evening, so I made us my new favorite waffles.IMG_2187  Prior to finding this, I was not a BIG waffle fan, but this is some of the best I have ever had, and BONUS, it is Paleo and Gluten Free.  I made extras and that was my breakfast also.

My walk and workout this morning were mediocre at best, I am too embarrassed to even post what I did!  Oh what the hell, here is what my Garmin says I did, I guess SOMETHING is better then nothing!

Did something yesterday that I really did not think I would ever do.  I went to Sephora and had a make up session.  You would think at my age, I would know how to apply make up.  But, I wanted to learn how to do my eyes, for example, the winged liner, and do my lips so they LAST and I don’t look like a clown.    I actually learned, or was shown quite a bit.  I have always known that my skin is very dry, but a very knowledgeable sales person by the name of Wendy showed and applied some product, and my face felt great afterward.  (Of course, I had to buy some of these, so I will keep everyone updated, as to is I really think they are working or not.  According to Wendy, you should see a difference in 14 days.)

As for the make up, I did not like the way the other person did my makeup.  First, I do not wear any “makeup” on my face, and I felt like a clown when she was done, too thick.  My eye make up did not look anything like I wanted, however, to be fair, I did learn a FEW things on eye shadow.

As for the lips, this I was happy with. Since I told her I basically have NO lips, she did make them POP a bit.  And, the lip crayon I bought does last.  I am going to try this for several days to make sure I like this.  Sephora is not cheap make up, so I want to make sure I like all of this, is that wrong?  If anyone out there has suggestions for the winged liner, please let me know.  Do you use a pencil or liquid?  Which works better?

Had to make a Costco run today.  I normally don’t buy produce at Costco, but I was out of apples, and I got to looking at the produce and the apples looked very good and were very reasonably priced.   I also bought eggs.  I used to buy eggs here all of the time, but got out of the habit for whatever reason.  I looked at the eggs again, and because I do eat so many eggs, these were a good buy.

G also made a haul, since I got him two bags of treats.  MH has been walking with us more in the mornings, and that means we stop for coffee,(which I LOVE) and that also means G gets his treats and water, which I know he loves.

I always end up buying more at Costco then I went in for, but they are adding new items all of the time and they now have a lot of Organic as well as gluten free foods.

Well kiddos, need to get back to work, we are going to TRY to get to the gym this afternoon and swim and sit in the hot tub a little.  We did this yesterday and it just feels so good, so we are going to try to do this again today.  This is so good for both of us, ok, this is so good for everybody, we are going to try to do this several times a week.

So, with that being said, I am signing off for now, more to come tomorrow.
