We hello every one! Glad you decided to check back.
All is good today and I seemed to have a lot of energy earlier.
First, I have been doing some experimenting with my eating and my exercise. I know I should know all of this, but I believe that as we age, our bodies change, and the way our bodies, as well as ourselves, react to different things, changes as well. I had been trying to eat a LOT of protein, because my blood work had been showing low protein levels. I had also been trying to eat less carbs, and more fat. Well, I have realized that I need more carbs in my diet, whether that be in the form of more fruit, more starchy carbs, it just seems my body does better with more carbs and less fat.
I have also been experimenting, or trying, and keeping track of how I feel when I lift weights, or do more jogging/running. Well, recently, it seems I am feeling much better doing more jogging/running, so that is what I am going to try to do, and I started this today, no better time then NOW. I started the morning, very early, with 2.63 miles outside with Mr. G. It was a bit chilly out but I quickly warmed up. This was not the fastest I have ever done, but I was out there and moving.
I took Mr. G inside and got on the treadmill, I did another 2.4 miles on the treadmill, a little faster pace. My goal was to get 5 miles in this morning, which I did. I MUST be accountable. Then I stretched good for about 5 minutes. I want to do this again tomorrow morning, Thursday, and that will be my last work out until next Monday, since I will be gone for a few days. My plan then, is to try this routine Monday thru Friday, until Thanksgiving. Keep me motivated, peoples!
I have a hard time drinking enough water when the weather is cooler like it is now. I really need to force myself to drink, and I can tell when I do not get enough water, so let’s all have a big drink of water.
If you follow Paleomg, she had a really good Coffee Cake Banana Bread Recipe I want to try, but since I have really been Miss 🐷 recently, I am debating this, because I know I will eat at least half of the loaf, NOW. Send me motivation to eat good guys!
Anyway, enough about me, how is everyone out there. I am looking for ideas for blog content, questions about workouts, lifting, jogging, recipes, foods I have tried and the effect they have on me, places I have traveled? Send you comments, questions, ideas to me firstname.lastname@example.org
