To Bake or not to Bake??

Hey There!

Is it just me, or is everyone crazy busy?  Maybe it is just the time of year, or maybe, because I just have a shitload of stuff to get done, and the more I do, the more I have to do.

Anyway, I needed to go to the market today, pickins were getting pretty slim.  I must have been hungry, but the good thing, I did not pick up junk food, but I picked up a whole cart of produce!  I took a good look at all of the different vegetables, and wanted to try them all.  Things I know we have had before, like Black Radish, and Seafood Mushrooms, but I also bought things like Daikon Radish, Broccolini, Chinese Broccoli, and I also bought Habanero Peppers and Serrano Peppers.  No clue what I am going to do with this stuff, but I will figure it out.  I am really cutting back on fruit, in fact, the only fruit I bought was 2 grapefruits, 1 clementine and 1 tangelo, and of course, avacados.

You know, I used to do a LOT of baking.  Those of you that know me, know I used to bake professionally.  I worked in a bakery and I also made wedding and birthday cakes.  Lord only knows what happened, but I have been thinking, I really need to start experimenting again.  (Along with thinking of experimenting with baking, I have been reevaluating my eating)  I feel that if I do not have forbidden foods, but allow myself to eat whatever I want (when I say whatever, I mean within reason and moderation) Part of this whole thought process is, I can control what is in the baked goods, stock-photo-closeup-of-a-group-of-assorted-cookies-chocolate-chip-oatmeal-raisin-white-chocolate-fill-the-340939574I can make them high protein and low sugar, AND, I can turn this into more of a food blog as well.  Some of the podcasts I have been listening to have some GREAT ideas on them.  What do you think?  Like I don’t have enough to do already?  Feedback please!

Another part of that whole thought process, it does not look like insurance is going to cover a new “drug/infusion” I need, so in order to stay healthier then the average “person” I can also eat MUCH healthier by doing more of our own cooking!  (Also, I would have more pictures to post)  Ok, I just talked myself into this, not sure I can get any experimenting done today, since it is almost 2 and I still have a boatload of work to get done, but maybe. I will be sure to share everything I try!  I am open for suggestions from you guys!  What to start with!

Again, those of you that know me know I LOVE daisies.  I meant to pick up a big bouquet at the store today, and forgot, but I am going to Whole Foods tomorrow and they normally have very nice daisies.  flower-2947856__340.png

The other thing on my mind is a new camera.  OK, I know you can do everything you want on your smart phone, but this is something else I used to do.  In fact, I still have some REALLY good lenses, I just need the camera.
