I just got back from the store, I needed to get milk and bread! (That is a joke in this area, they are talking about flurries so it seems whenever they do this, EVERYONE races out to get milk and bread. I should have gone to the store just to take pictures🤑)
Anywhooo! It is a little colder out and they are talking about a rain/sleet mix for tomorrow or Saturday😞 That’s how I feel about that because I really do not like anything near cold weather. I actually have my heater on in my office, I like it a little toastier.☀️
Since I had my first treatment yesterday, and I feel like I have been bombarded with phone calls today following up with how I feel and how to move forward, I feel like I REALLY need to try, (yes, even more than usual) to eat better and take better overall care of my health. With that thought, my lunch today was I hope, very healthy. I had baked chicken thighs, broccoli, avocado, and kimchi. I put a little grass fed butter on this and that was it. Actually, not bad, but I still feel like I need a BIG cookie! Any suggestions how to kick that feeling?
My breakfast was one grapefruit, one hard boiled egg, and 1/4 cup full fat greek yogurt. Surprising, that was quite satisfying.

The Brownies I made, well, to my surprise, I have received some very encouraging feedback on these brownies. This has motivated me to do some more baking. Exercise, I am just trying to cover everything that I might have missed recently. I have been trying to do a little more exercise, a little less walking, more reps, and today, I did a little on the elliptical, trying to mix it up! It actually felt good, but ask me tomorrow😎 (Did I tell you I fell the other day? Well, not really fell, but SLIPPED on those little nut things that are on the ground this time of year. It was pretty funny, really, other than I chipped two nails, that sucks!!!)
Did I mention I got an apple watch? I had been wearing a Garmin, that I really liked, but got the apple Series 3 watch with the Nike Run Club. Do I like it? Well, it is a little different than my Garmin, I think my Garmin did a little more, but as I learn the watch, I am liking it. HOWEVER, I did have to take it back and exchange it, it would not charge. But typical Apple products, there was no issue and they happily exchanged it, and now I am on to tracking again. I do have a question for you readers that have Apple Watches. Is there a way to compare calories burned vs intake of calories? This would show a deficit or overage of calories taken in vs burned. Please let me know, or if you have tips/tricks, please share.
