My Journey

My Life, one day at a time!

Well, after a really crappy and rainy Sunday, the sun is out today, still a bit on the cool side, but at least the sun is out.😍

Lets start this blog out by everyone taking a drink of water, let’s all stay hydrated.

Ok, how many of you were like me and ate WAY too much on Super Bowl Sunday?  Be honest, raise your hands!  I know I did.  Since it was raining (well, really pouring) when we got up, other then taking Mr. G out for a quick bathroom break, no walk for us.  Needless to say, we got an early start on our errands, ( which were not many) and got home early, by lunch time.  We had picked up plenty “football” food, not too mention bar b que pork  for our meal.  So what do you do when you have lots of snack food and a good meal, you eat all day!  Oh well, today is a new day and I will be more careful today! No worry!

Saturday evening we tried a new restaurant, Spring.  I had received a gift certificate for my birthday, and finally got in Saturday.  This place is very small, 14 tables, and is only open Tue thru Sat, it is very hard to get into.  The food was VERY good.  The menu is very limited, it is all locally sourced, organic, grass fed.  We had steak tartare for a starter and unfortunately, we had eaten most of it before I thought to take a picture.  My entree was duck breast IMG_2610.jpgagain, I forgot to take a picture when they served it, but MAN< was this delicious.  We did not have desert there, MH wanted a big piece of chocolate cake, so where did we go, we stopped at the Cheese cake factory on the way home.  I STILL have over half of my cheesecake (gluten free of course) left!  Oink oink!  But again, so good.

IMG_2611I had these Buff Bake cookies before, and I am finding, if I have something available to snack on, something healthy, I do not crave it near so bad!  I am also really liking the new Quest Protein cookies as well.IMG_2612Both of these are low sugar and low carb and high protein, and taste great.  And of course, Gluten Free!  If you have tried these let me know what you think.

What are your tricks to not over eating the junk food, besides keep hydrated,  which reminds me, everyone take a drink!

I did get a pretty good walk in this morning, and really good lift.  But as the day goes on, I am a little stiff, I don’t think that I stretched enough or else it is the cold weather.  Do you get this way?  Any suggestions on good stretches to do?

Well gang, this is going to be a little shorter then normal, I am a little behind on my work today, and have a few appointments tomorrow.  I will write more tomorrow, I will have more time, or I will make more time.  (I think I have to make a stop at Whole Foods tomorrow, my favorite store) so I can share what I find there!

Well gang, till next time/Take care, be safe, and see you all next time.

Remember, to hydrate, drink lots of water, be active, get up and move, be happy, keep a smile on your face, and live life like there is no tomorrow, since tomorrow is a promise to no one.

xoxoxo till next time!
