I am open for suggestions PLEASE!!!
Hey there everyone!
Did everyone have a good weekend? For not having a lot planned, it did seem we were very busy all weekend. Very Busy. But I like busy! I think it is catching up to me today however, I have ZERO energy!
We started the weekend out by going to the out door range. I love to do this, but obviously, I need to do this much more. I am not too bad at 25 M with the rifle, but it took me a few shots to accustomed to this again, I must have bumped my chin pretty good because I have a bruise on my cheek today.😣 I am not as good at the 10 M mark at the out door range, I have more accuracy at the indoor range, but I think that is self explanatory. The weather was awesome for this and it was a great time!
Saturday evening we went to a local restaurant, this came highly recommended. We were both disappointed, I was under the assumption this was a Bar B Que place, and they really had NO bar b due on the menu. We ordered a few small plates, the deviled eggs were very good, the chicken legs were VERY dry, and the brisket, well, if you could find any, was roast beef and not brisket. We skipped the desert and picked some up on the way home. (Cheesecake Factory) I should no by now that we all do not have the same taste, and I am VERY much a BIG meat eater!
Speaking of deserts. I KNOW that I have been eating WAY too many sweets, or to summarize, TOO MUCH SUGAR recently, I just can’t stop! I talked with my rheumy last week, and he started me on a steroid pack, he seriously thinks I am going through a flare, which would explain a lot! I go in on Wednesday to see him. In thinking about the conversation he and I had on the phone, he feels certain this was caused by the amount of sugar I have been eating, and, the weight I have gained. (Yes, I know that I have put on many to many pounds) I know this will be addressed during my visit, so I am getting a jump start on this. I am also going to ask him if I can start to jog/run some again. My knees are feeling pretty good, and this may be more beneficial for weight loss. Do you think the results are better with running, weight lifting or a combo of both?
Which leads me to the topic of fat bombs. I know I talked about these last week. I did some research and made one small batch over the weekend. I have only ate two, which is probably more than enough, so far, but they are very tasty, and seem to be very satisfying. Have you tried Fat Bombs? If yes, do you have comments on these, recipes you can share, ideas for cutting sugar cravings? Please share!
And OH!, not only am I eating WAY too much sugar, like a piece of cheesecake, but apparently I ate too much gluten as well. I have a rash on my thigh this morning, and yes, it does itch. I do know better then this, and I did not think I ate too much crust, but apparently, those two bites were too much. (Wow, yes, I am a mess today)
I am having one of those days today that I just cannot get moving. I have tried all of my usual pick me ups, an extra cup of Starbucks, a candle, (this usually really improves my mood and energy level, especially when I burn the candle in Wren Hop Candle Holder, and nothing is helping. Oh pity me😖
I did some meal prep yesterday, and have just put turkey legs in the oven for this evening. Again, thinking if I have better, healthy food prepared, I will be less likely to pig 🐷 out after dinner. What do you do so that you less tempted to eat after dinner?
I made a cabbage salad yesterday, as well as cut up fruit, and today I put these turkey legs in the oven. My plan is to bake them slow, pull the meat off the bones, and simmer in broth for a while with a LITTLE rice, onion, raisins, and mushrooms. This should be filling, high protein, and satisfying. I will try to remember to post pics of the finished product.
Well, I probably should, ok, I really need to get back to work. Check back tomorrow to see how the turkey legs turned out, and I plan on revisiting some of the things I am promoting.
Don’t forget to send your feedback on the fat bombs, if jogging is better then weight lifting, and secrets you might have kick the sugar habit.
Remember, to hydrate, drink lots of water, be active, get up and move, be happy, keep a smile on your face, and live life like there is no tomorrow, since tomorrow is a promise to no one.
xoxoxo till next time!
