Happy St. Patricks Day, everyone is Irish today.
I decided this would be a good day to get back to my blog, and to all of you readers out there, I have been very neglect.
I can make excuses, but I won’t, I am just going to say, once the Chinese New Year Holiday was over, shit hit the fan and my “job” got VERY busy. But, like I said, I think I finally got my shit together and I am back to blogging, soon to be full time. I am still contemplating the podcasts, but I really need some input on that, and I need to do more research on that fist.
So, how have you all been? I hope well. Today turned out to be a pretty nice day, but I am REALLY ready for spring, blue skies, sunshine, and being out doors more. Plus, now that daylight savings time is here, I feel more like doing things later in the day.
I am slowly getting back up to the 4 plus miles a day in my walks, today I was a little off, MH had to be at the airport early, plus it was raining this AM, so my schedule was a little off for the day. I did get a a little over 3.75 miles in for our JALK, me and G. Oh, and along the way, I had to stop and take a picture of these beautiful How pretty are these!
But, I also actually went to LA Fitness this morning, I have been talking for weeks about actually going to a real gym, and not just the gym in the building, and today was the day. (Less talk more do) I am going to try to go again tomorrow, I am think of having a one time trainer session, there are a lot of machines in there I am not familiar with.
In case you were wondering , the steroid pack worked awesome. After 10 days on that I felt great! The bad news was, my blood work showed that my inflammation was more than double what it should have been, so I am back on all the drugs and in two weeks, I go through all the blood work again. Funny though, I feel great! What up!!!
I got myself some of the turmeric/ginger tea, and am drinking a cup almost every night. It has a little different flavor and you kind of have to get used to it. I do put a little honey in it, and that helps some. I also have been grating fresh ginger on my meals, I love the taste it gives food, and I know how good this is for you.
I just made another batch of fat bombs. These are seriously so good, and in my mind, I SERIOUSLY think these do help to curb your sugar cravings and I also think they suppress your appetite. I have been having one a day, mid afternoon, when that afternoon slump and urge to have sugar really hits. The hardest part is having just one, they are too good and EASY. The recipe for these is:
1/2 c. organic virgin coconut oil
1/2 c. natural nut butter, (with less the 5 grams of sugar)
Melt the above together than stir in the coca powder and add the sweetener of your choice
2-3 T. unsweetened cocoa powder
2-4 T. Agave, (I used 2 packs of stevia, I wanted this to be more Keto friendly)
I had some chopped macadamia nuts I sprinkled over the top and also pink sea salt.
This is very runny, so you might want to use a funnel to pour into the lined candy molds. Put this in the freezer until hard, than remove from the molds and you can store in the refrigerator or freezer. Try this and let me know what you think. Also, if you have any fat bomb recipes you like, please share.
I have been using different electrolyte powders in my first bottle of water in the morning, as well as actually adding about 1 T of Pink sea salt to the water. I also have about 1/2 c. of broth each day. I am doing this to get my sodium levels where they need to be. It is funny, but I can really tell the difference when I eat much more salt. I have more energy, I sleep better, my clarity is better, and damn, I know I look better! Just checking to see if you were paying attention. Today I bought some NUNN, they say this is supposed to be good for electrolytes, so I will give it shot. If you have any suggestions for keeping your sodium levels up there, please e-mail them to me at
I also drink one bottle of kombucha every day, Thank You MDI for getting me hooked again on this. I have several favorites, but I was out today so ran out and just picked up one bottle real quick, I had not tried this yet and this is really good. If you drink kombucha, how much do you drink and what are your favorite brands or flavors.
Well people, I have much more on my mind, but I want to save a little for tomorrow. Tomorrow I am planning a big post, more food ideas, and some other thoughts that I am going to ask for input on. Come back tomorrow for more.
In the meantime, I am open for comments, suggestions, criticisms, any and all feedback. Please send to
Remember, to hydrate, drink lots of water, be active, get up and move, be happy, keep a smile on your face, and live life like there is no tomorrow, since tomorrow is a promise to no one.
xoxoxo till next time!
