My Journey

My Life, one day at a time!
Happy Sunday!

Happy Sunday!

Hello again and thanks for coming back.

As promised, I am back to day and have quite a bit to blog about.

I needed to go get some food this morning and as always, I spent way too much time at Whole Foods.  I just love all of the color IMG_2773.jpgin the produce section.  I have really cut back on the amount of fruit I eat, I used to eat a LOT of fruit, but I don’t think that much sugar is good for me, so I have cut the amount probably more then in half.  I do eat a lot of vegetables, all vegetables.  What kind of vegetables to you guys like to eat, and how do you prepare them?

I found this bread at Whole Foods, IMG_2774  Sometime, I just need a piece of bread, and found this.  I have not tried this yet, but I do hope that is good.  Have you tried this bread?  If you have, let me know what you think.

For dinner last night, and again, leftover for lunch today, I had liver and onions.IMG_2771.jpg I try to eat liver at least once a month, if not more.  I feel this is a great way to add to your iron, and it tastes good.  I had the liver and onions, a baked potato, boiled egg, radish and celery, and olives.  Quite the combo, but really good. I had the same thing for lunch today.  I will need to make something different for dinner tonight, I am thinking about Salmon!

I did get a decent jalk in this am.  I did not go as far as I had intended since I knew I was going to the gym right after ward, and I wanted to get a good work out in at the gym.  I actually went to the gym again today, not just the gym in our building, but to the gym.  AND, I actually committed to a training session. I am kind of curious how this will work, part of this will be a body fat testing.  I don’t know if their tester numbers will go that high😜  I will share the results after I am done.  I signed up for this because I do want to target certain areas on my body, and I don’t care if I am a BIT mature, I can change things like the shape of my body!

MD and I just had a long conversation about dog foods.  G has been on Blue since we got him, I feed him Blue and Goats Milk everyday, and he does well, but  I have heard that Blue has been bought out by a BIG company, and in my opinion, once something likes this happens, the personalization and quality of the product is lost, so I am going to try a different food for G.  MD says she gives her KIDZ Nutro Max and they do great on this.  All of their skin issues have gone away and they like it.  I am looking at this, as well as the Rachel Ray brand.  If you have dogs or cats, what type of food do you feed your pets?  I just feel that since I am so fussy about what I put in my body, I should be as finicky about what I feed G.  Let me know your thoughts on this, e-mail me at tamie@tamiesjourney.com

It seems I get bored with Podcasts, and since I listen to soo many of them, soo much of the time, between my jalks and working out, I run out of good ones to listen too.  I love to listen to Paleomg, I like Meathead Hippie, Girls Gone Wod, these are the three I always listen too, I have tried Wine and Crime and just can’t get into it, I have tried Mind Pump and can listen SOMETIME, not all the time.  I do like to listen to How I built this.  What I want, is for you readers to send me your favorite podcasts.  E-mail them to me at tamie@tamiesjourney.com

Did any of you try the Fat Bomb recipe, if yes, what did you think?

I am running an idea around in my head.  There are several fitness bloggers, podcast people that have programs, 28 day, 21 day, 30 day and so on.  I have signed up for some of these, and I make it about 1 week through, and then loose interest or get busy.  I am working on putting together and offering a 7 day program, one week.  There would be a minimal charge, like $14, ($2 a day).  This would be very simple.  Each day I would send out an e-mail, each day would be different.  One day might be a recipe, one day a work out, one day just lots of motivation, I might send out random e-mails every other day about are you drinking your water, did you get up and move, do you have a smile on your face?  How many of you would be interested in this short and simple program?  I need to have a minimum number of people to commit before I can do this, so let me know what you think.   If I get enough feedback, I may start this next week already, let me know at tamie@tamiesjourney.com

It is getting that time of year here in Atlanta, the yellow pollen season.  It is a beautiful day here today, so I opened a few windows, and just notice my desk has a very light coating of yellow dust on it.  I love the weather, hate the yellow pollen.  This might be why my eyes feel like sandpaper.

Again, we will soon be in Honolulu, I need a couple more ideas for good gluten free or local places to eat, and also, if you have done a coffee tour there, let me know, I think this is something I would like to do while we are there.  Also, if you have any other suggestions, please let me know.

Well, the time has come, I think I must get on with other things, plus my watch says it is time to get up and move and to drink.  So, come back again tomorrow and see what is going on then.

In the meantime, I am open for comments, suggestions, criticisms, any and all feedback.  Please send to
