Hello and Hey There, and sorry I was MIA.
No excuses, it just seems that ATW has been extremely busy recently, when you are a one man band, it takes a LOT of time to do everything and grow the business, which is why I am so seriously thinking of starting a podcast. I can talk for hours, and if I do a one hour podcast once a week, and try to grow from there? Would you listen? Send me a message at
and let me know if you would listen, and if yes, what topics would you like to listen to?
Any who, what have you all been up to? Other than work, since my gym was closed last week, I really mixed up my routine. I went to “workout” at different times of day and I did a big variety of things. One day, I did nothing but the stairs and parking ramp in our building. It is amazing the work out you can get by just running steps, and running up and down the garage ramp. One day I went to our sky lounge and did a whole series of stretching, another good workout. But now, our gym is back open, and really smells of new paint and new carpet, and I got a decent work out in today. I need to get back in my routine.
Did anyone do anything exciting for the Holiday Weekend? Since the weather kind of sucked here,we did a variety of things. We ate out a couple of times. One day we went to True Food Kitchen. This has been on our list to try, and last Saturday seemed like the perfect day.
For an appetizer, we had the Edamame Dumplings (VEG)
dashi, white truffle oil, asian herbs, these were REALLY GOOD.
MH had the
organic sunny side up eggs, ancient grains, sweet potato, grilled portobello, avocado, hemp seed, cilantro pumpkin seed pesto, he said it was good, just needed a little more spice to it. I had the Spicy Panang Curry (GF)
organic potato, pole bean, bok choy, carrot, thai basil, coconut shrimp broth, this was very tasty. The overall experience was good, and we would more than likely go here again. They have a very extensive menu.
We ate out at a few other places, but nothing that jumped out and said WOW!!!! One of the places we ate at I had Salmon Croquettes. I know that I have learned fried foods do not agree with me so much, and I did not think these would bother me, (the taste was fantastic) but I ended up only eating one, I took one home, and maybe I ate too fast because I was hungry, but it did not seem to agree with me so much.
We also did some much needed shopping, which led me to do some cleaning out of things that need to go to Good Will. Funny how you can just keep using things and not realize how old they have gotten.
We also got to the Hot Tub, which is one of my favorite things to do. It feels so good on my aching joints.
On to other things. I haven’t listened to a lot of podcasts recently, just because MH has been walking with me, and when he walks, I do not listen to podcasts. I did start however, this morning the latest Paloemg podcast where here sister in law is with her. They make a great tag team. See, MD, this is why I think we could certainly do a podcast!!!
One day over the weekend, we did my favorite sport, spectator sport. We went to the mall, got a coffee, found a table to sit at, and watched people. This is so hilarious. Do some of these people look in a mirror before they walk out the door? Ok, I know, some days, I probably look the same way, and people say the same thing about me, but really!! If I look that bad TELL ME!!! I don’t care who you are! And I am sorry, spandex only stretches SO FAR!!! There should be weight limits.
Speaking of, some of the shopping we did, MH needed (badly needed) some new walking shorts, (I put all of his old ones in the Good Will bag AS SOON AS WE GOT HOME) so while he was looking, I did the same. The store we were in had everything on sale, so I found the cutest pair of purple Nike running shorts, can’t wait to wear these.
Binge watching: We have watched everything we had recored, and all of the series we had been binge watching, so now we are looking for another Netflix series to Binge Watch. Any suggestions? Please share with me.
OK, are you all doing good on your H20 intake? Remember the importance of hydration. I really push the liquids this time of year, there are times when I have 2-3 beverages I am drinking at the same time. I might have water, coffee and Kombucha all going at the same time. And then there is the seltzer water sometimes! And sometime tea! WOW, yes, that is a lot of liquid.
Well all, I know this was a quick post, but I wanted to get back on schedule, and now I need to get back to
Everyone have a great weekend, have fun, be safe, remember to hydrate and use your sunscreen!
