I am getting kind of tired of these rainy dreary days. Apparently though, either I or the hubs is doing something right because the last two mornings we have been able to get our walk in between rain showers!!! ☔️ That is good because if I don’t get that walk in each morning, my day is just off, do you know what I mean. (side note, I was visiting with one of the gentleman in the building today, who was going to work out, and he said the same thing, it is just like an addiction, but a good addiction)
I was also visiting with one of the other residents on our floor today, found out she works near Canvas Cafe. I had asked her if she had ever eaten there, and she has not yet, but has heard they do have really good donuts. I talked about these several weeks ago on my blog, the donuts are in the bakery on the first level, and is called Donut Dollies. So if you live or work in Atlanta and ore near the Kenestone Hospital area, stop by and check these two places out. They are both really good.
This is just another random blog post, so I do hope you enjoy these. We are going to the gym later today, someone is very stiff and sore from long plane rides, car rides, sitting in meetings and just needs to sit in the hot tub for awhile, and I always enjoy this, so we are going later today. I am working really hard and really fast today, so I can sit back and enjoy this. (This is one of the perks of having your own business, but the bad part is, when we get back, I have to work until everything is done for the day.
I did get a short quick work out in this am, I cut it a few minutes short because OS called while I was working out, and when we were done, I figured it was time to get back to work. That is okay, he doesn’t call that often, so I like to take the time to visit with him. On a side note, I will always make time to talk to my family, you don’t realize how precious your family is to you, make note of that and treat your family well.
Ok, I tell you all the time I am not much of a cook, but I do make the effort and I am doing more recently, just because. Last night, I made breaded chicken thighs. Now, what did I bread them with? Well, I really did not want to use flour, so I had found some sweet jalepeno potato chips. I put these in the blender until they were nice and fine. I also had Honey Nut Cheerios that I did the same thing with. I dipped the chicken tenders in egg white, then coated with either the chips or the cheerios. (I used these two options because I thought they might add a good flavor, but also, they are both gluten free) Then I baked these in a slow oven for about an hour. They were a little dry, but did have a good flavor
Remember the other day I had made these pickled daikon radishes? Well, I opened these up last night and they are good, just not as sweet as I wanted. I am thinking of adding just a little sugar and let them set for another day, and see what happens. Can’t be too bad, right?
I think it is time to get back at it, so that I can go sit in the hot tub and get all the kinks worked out. Come on and join me!!
