So here we are Friday already. I was talking with a friend of mine this morning and neither one of us can believe how fast this summer has gone. I don’t know about the rest of the country, but all of the areas school are now back in session. This is too early, I am just glad our kids are grown and they don’t have to deal with all of the back to school stuff. Has school started where you are at?
Orange is the New Black has started up again. We watched the first two episodes last night, and to be honest, I am a little disappointed. The second episode was marginally better then the first, however, still not that great. I will watch a couple of more episodes but if it does not get a lot better, I am not sure I will watch all of it.
A couple of problems. First, it has been SUCH a long time since the last season ended, I am sure it has been over a year. With that much time, and my memory, it is hard to remember where it left off. But, they are going back and forth, to catch you up and to set the stage for what is going to happen, I think and I hope.
They have gotten rid of the some of the characters, so there are new characters, and I can’t quite get used to the new people, yet. I will with time, I am sure. This was a really good series before, so I hope they don’t mess it up. Are any of you watching this and if so, have you started the newest season yet?
The series that I REALLY hope does come back is Wentworth. Have you watched that? It is similar to OTB. It takes place somewhere in England, and is, in my opinion, even better than OTB.
Who is ready for football? I don’t like to see football season come, because that means summer ending, and I really like summer, but I like football. I just looked at the schedules of the two teams that I follow, the Nebraska Huskers and Atlanta Falcons, and preseason starts next Friday, for the Falcons. The other thing I don’t like about football, is that you sit for a long time without moving, and that is very hard for me. I guess I need to figure out a system where every so often, I get up and move. Do you like football? If so, what team do you follow?
I forgot to take pictures last evening, but again, I made a pretty good dinner. We had ribs that I just salted and peppered really well, than I wrapped in foil and baked for about 2 hours. We took these out and had a sauce with a base of Sesame oil, and tossed the ribs in that. This was so good. Just the right amount of flavor, very tender, the meat fell right off the bone, and baked perfectly. Maybe if I keep this up, eventually I will become a somewhat decent cook.
So what are your plans for the weekend? We actually have a few that I am looking forward to. Saturday we are going to Dekalb Farmers Market again. I would love to take pictures from this, but for whatever reason, when you walk in the door, there is a BIG sign that states no pictures. So I will have to take pictures of what I get when I get home. There are a few items I want to get, one of those being flowers. Their flowers are all locally grown and fresh that day.
We also plan on going to see Mission Impossible this weekend. Basically, it will be a kind of easy, restful weekend since hubs just got back and is not caught up on rest yet. I know I should not be tired, but when he travels, I pretty much work and do things a LOT. I feel that if he is out working that hard, I need to do the same. I go to sleep later and I get up earlier when he travels, so just a little rest will not hurt my body at all. And of course, we will go to the gym to enjoy the hop tub, again. We did this yesterday and MAN, does it feel good!

Well gang, I hate to admit that I have been very slack in taking pictures recently,I am working on remembering to take a lot more pictures. This is one of the my projects I want to improve on.
