Hey how are you today? Did you dress up for Halloween? No dressing up here, just different Halloween socks. Not sure what the weather is like where you are, but it is wonderful here. The kids will have a great evening for trick or treat.🎃
The sad part is, tomorrow is the first of November already! Before you know it, Thanksgiving will be here and gone, Christmas will be here and gone, and it will 2019. That is why it is so important to live each day to the fullest!
Moving right along! I did get a LOT of “organizing and cleaning” done yesterday afternoon and evening. I even made it to my storage room, and got rid of a few things. I loaded up my car as I got bags and boxes full, and I made a trip to Goodwill today. Keep in mind, I was just there maybe two weeks ago. I had one BIG bag, a big box, a basket and two smaller bags to drop off this morning, and I am sure I will find more in the next couple of days. How can two people KEEP collecting so much CRAP!!! I have no idea, but when I get in moods like this, (claustrophobic and feel like cleaning) I really need to take advantage of it! Too much clutter is not good for anyone!
I also made a stop at Ulta today. There were several cosmetic things I was out of, eye make up mainly, so I thought I would stop there an see what I could find. Apparently I found more than I thought, because $50 later, (luckily, I had a coupon so it wasn’t quite that much) I was done. I get so ADD in those stores. I actually made a list because I knew I would get in there and start looking, and then forget what I was there for! Is it just me or are other people like that? It is like I get distracted by things in shiny wrapping. I did get some cool new nail polish. I am going to try to redo my nails tonight, so if I get that done, I will show off my new polish tomorrow.
I also got some new roll on oil perfume?? I had never seen this before, and they had what I might call earthy scents. The one I bought is lemon, jasmine and eucalyptus. Very nice light scent!
What TV shows in everyone watching now. Since the hubs is traveling, (and I usually do this when he is gone, he doesn’t care for this show) I watched Chopped on the Cooking Chanel. I love this show. They get the most strange ingredients and have to make either an appetizer, an entree or a desert from this. The one I was watching last night, every basket had hot peppers of some kind in it! And amazingly, the “chefs” do make great foods! Not me, I need recipe or somebody to tell me what to do!
Speaking of TV shows. On the podcast I was listening to this morning, they were talking about shows on Netflix, and one they really seemed to like was “The Haunting of Hill House.” I had not heard of this, have you? Apparently it is a really good show, but very scary??? One of the guys wives had night mares after watching this. If you have seen this, let me know what you think!
OK, on to another question. How many of you track your food, what you eat all day, either to keep track of macros, the calories or both? I have done this for a long time, and try to do it EVERY day! Why, because I can. Actually, I do not feel so bad about being so anal about this. In some of the articles that I have recently read, they really promote this. For many reason! But one of those reasons is to really keep track of the calories you eat all day. Not just to see if you have over eaten, but also, to make sure that you are eating enough. I know that sounds strange, (I have NO problem eating enough in a day) but some people do not eat enough, therefore, they are tired or have no energy, and cannot figure out why. I think it is a good idea, at least for awhile if you have never done it, just to get an idea how many calories you do actually consume in one day. Another reason, that way you can also see if you are getting enough of the major nutrients, protein, fat and carbs. If you do keep track, let me know and if you don;t mind sharing, how many calories you do consume in a day, the macro breakdown, and if you keep track, how many calories in burn in a day! I might post all of this tomorrow, just to give you all an idea what I keep track of. Also, if you do keep track for at least a week, and maintain your weight for a week, you can calculate what your caloric need per day is in order to loose, gain, or maintain your weight.
