Finally Feeling Better
I hope that everyone had a good weekend! What did you do? We didn’t seem to have many plans, but all of the sudden, it was Sunday Night and the weekend was over.
Okay, first things first. Today, I am Thankful for good friends, being able to share a good meal with them, and for them sharing their Sunday afternoon with us. What are you thankful for today, please share!
I am sharing my Macros and caloric intake and burn from Friday, because on weekends, I do not keep as good as records. So, for Friday, the below was my macros:
I did get over the 100 g of protein, but it seemed I had a lot of fat Friday. But you want to know the funny thing? I felt really good on Friday, maybe I need to add more fat to my diet!!!
On Friday I consumed a total of 1371 calories and I burned a total of 1900 calories. I know that many of you are thinking that I should be either burning less calories or eating more, but by the time I get through the weekend, it all evens out. I don’t work out on weekends and I tend to eat a little more.
My workout today was:
Barbell Squat 1 set of 5 reps and 1 set of 10 reps @ 30 Lbs
Incline Dumb Bell Press 1 set of 5 reps and 1 set of 10 reps @ 12 Lbs
Lat Pull Down 1 set of 5 reps and 1 set of 10 reps @ 70 Lbs
Dumb Bell Curl 1 set of 5 reps and 1 set of 10 reps @ 12 Lbs
Should Shrugs 1 set of 5 reps and 1 set of 10 reps @ 35 Lbs
Standing Calf Raises 1 set of 5 reps and 1 set of 10 reps @ 35 Lbs
Flat Dumb Bell Press 1 set of 5 reps and 1 set of 10 reps @ 15 Lbs
Close Grip Push Up 2 sets of 10 each
Tri Push Down 1 set of 5 reps and 1 set of 10 reps @ 60 Lbs
I also did 3 sets of steps today, along with some dips and pull up and abs.
Today was rough. First, I did not sleep much last night, apparently, something I ate yesterday did not agree with me and I was up pretty much of the night in there rest room. Then, when it was time to get up, I could not wake up, I was really dragging. It took me a little while to get my energy up today, so my walk and my workout kind of suffered. But, I always feel like something is better than nothing.
Back to eating yesterday. We met a group of friends for Dim Sum yesterday. We have not had Dim Sum for over a year, so I was really looking forward to it. And it was SO good. I had never tried Congee before. My friend, who is from Thailand, got a bowl and had me try it. I think I found a new food I love. She was telling me all of the health benefits of this and how easy it is too make. Ok, now I have to try to make some, or go out and get some. It was really good. Anyone have a good easy Congee recipe? Please share it with me!
But, unfortunately, something I ate, and it could have been from the day before, was not agreeing with me. Sunday night, first I thought I was hungry. (That is always my go to if my stomach does not feel well, so I eat MORE!!) And of course, the more I ate, the worse I felt. But my morning, whatever it was, was not in me any longer. All is good now.
I am being very careful what I eat today, and I am trying to eat smaller amounts, take my time, and more often. For my lunch today, and this tasted so darn good, I wanted something that would be very easy on my stomach. I had a tortilla shell, I cut up 1/2 an apple, 1/2 a banana, some grated parmesan cheese, Braggs Nutritional Yeast, a tiny bit of cottage cheese over the top, and heated. This went really well. Okay, I know not the most nutritional balance meal, but it was what I felt like I could eat!
I did make the banana bread I talked about last week.
This was super easy and tasted good. It called for bananas, oatmeal, maple syrup, baking soda and eggs. My only issue was I should have baked it just about 2 minutes longer, but it still was good. Even the hubs thought it was good.

Speaking of Beauty Counter. I was having a conversation yesterday with one of the friends at lunch. I have been using Beauty Counter on and off for about 6 months now. I really don’t see results YET! But, I seriously feel like my problem is, I mix too many other products in there. (I don’t see instant results, so I move on to something else) And I am not consistent in my nightly beauty routines.
