Another Dreary Rainy Monday
Well hey there everyone, how you doing today? Did everyone have a good weekend? How is the weather were you are? Not to complain, but it has been RAINY here for I don’t know how long, it seems like forever but I am sure it has not been that long!
We did get out and do our walks over the weekend, even in the rain, we just put our rain gear on and went for it. Luckily, it wasn’t too cold.
To stay on my schedule and time line, first things first. My Macros for Friday were:
As you can see, lots of carbs, lots of fat and a little protein??? Not sure how that happened. My total caloric intake for Friday was 1381 and my total caloric burn was 1891 calories. I only got in 16,877 steps on Friday and I am blaming the rain for that!
My work out today was:
Dead Lift 2 sets of 6 reps @ 25 lbs
Assisted Pull Ups 2 sets of 10 reps @ 35 lbs
Leg Curls 2 sets of 6 reps @ 70 lbs
Flat Bench Press 2 sets of 6 reps @ 20 lbs
1 Arm Row 2 sets of 6 reps @ 25 lbs
Standing Dumb Bell Press 2 sets of 6 reps @ 10 lbs
Dumb Bell Side Lats 2 sets of 6 reps @ 10 lbs
1 Arm Over Head Tri 2 sets of 6 reps @ 15 lbs
Shoulder Shrugs 2 sets of 6 reps @ 35 lbs
I also did a lot of ab work, sprints and steps. Overall, it ended up to be a pretty good work out even though I am having some pain in a different area today. I honestly think it is just the damp weather, I think!
Yesterday we went out and did a little shopping, and I think because I was not looking for anything, I found some new leggings. This is one pair I like BRIGHT and the hubs actually picked these out for me. I did want some new sunglasses, but I could not find any I liked so I thought I would just come home and order a pair, which I have not done yet. Do you like the new leggings?
Last week, I told you how I had tried Congee, and REALLY like it. I did buy everything to make some, but we stopped to pick up some Chinese Bar B Que Pork yesterday on the way home, and they have Congee. The hubs asked if I wanted some, so I got what I thought would be a SMALL bowl. This is after I have eaten 3 meals out of the bowl. I think I will be able to eat off of this all week. This is very good and I have been mixing it with other things. For example, for breakfast, I chopped an apple, sprinkled some cinnamon, ghee and a little Braggs Nutritional Yeast and heated. This was great!!! For lunch I added Protein Greens and Shrimp and again, very good! And, because it is HOT, and it is cold and dreary out, it is warming and filling!! If you have never tried this, you really should!
The other place we did go this weekend was REI! I love to go to this store, but rarely buy anything there. We went there so that the hubs could look at and maybe buy a new winter coat. He looked around, but apparently was not in the mood to buy a new coat. I know his reasoning is that he is still loosing weight, and he hopes to loose a lot more, so he wants to make do with the coats he has and not buy a new one until he looses more weight. I could not even get him to try on a coat, but at least he did look. And funny, as we were walking by the bikes, he stopped and looked and said: “Maybe next spring we will buy bikes and try bike riding” I would love that and I hope he still feels that way in the spring.
Anyway, back to the clothes at REI. I have been cold lately, I know it is do to the damp and cold weather, but I was looking at the clothes for layering. I have several really nice heavy sweaters, but I really do not like to wear HEAVY sweaters. I found several very light weight wool sweaters, and I am looking at their website this afternoon and think I will order one or two. How many of you shop at REI?
We were invited to our friends 2nd Annual Ugly Sweater Party on Saturday night. It was POURING out when we got there and I forgot an umbrella. I was pretty wet by the time I got inside, and for whatever reason, I was CHILLED all night. By the time we got home, I could not get warmed up. I had my HOT Tea, thinking that would help, but no luck. We finally went to bed just so I could cover up with lots of blankets and get warm. (I was hoping I was not getting ill) I finally got warm and slept like a baby!!!!!! I think it was just getting wet and standing around in damp clothes!
Ok, one quick last thing, and then I need to stick to my timeline and get back on track! I was giving myself my infusion this morning, just had everything hooked up, all of the injection sites done, and went to start the pump that pumps the medication. As soon as I turned on, it just broke and pushed the syringe with the liquid out and the sticky liquid gel like medication was all over the place! Needless to say, I did not get my infusion done this morning, and I had a sticky mess to clean up. I called the pharmacy right away, and they are sending a new pump out overnight, and a replacement medication. So I get to do this all over again tomorrow. I can hardly wait!!! ( Was that sarcastic enough)
Anyway, got to go, got to get other things done, I am just about ready to launch my improved website with the sidebar with all of the companies that I work with, and the discount codes and I want to do this today yet. I am also working on my Beauty Counter, and oh yea, that things the hubs calls my hobby, ATW Equipment.
