Good Day Everyone!  It started off being a GREAT Day!  Both the hubs and I woke up early this morning, so decided to get up and get our day started.  I think this was the first dry morning we had to walk for almost a week now.  But, it was a little cooler out!  Since we got an early start, we walked a little further, but when we got to Starbucks for coffee, it was still too early, they were not even open yet😞 Bummer, no coffee and it was a little too cold to sit outside and wait.  But, the good thing was, we got a good walk in!

First, my Macros for yesterday were:

Image-1.jpg  I really ate a lot of carbs yesterday and fat!  Every day I try to get more protein in, and every day it seems I cannot get there.  (I started today off with eggs, protein powder and a tiny bit of oatmeal.)   Today I will get more protein in !!!  My total caloric intake yesterday was 1470 calories and my total caloric burn was 1884.  Again, because of the cold and rain yesterday, I only walked 16297 steps.  Today, I already have 9332 steps.  I think today is going to be a good day.  ( I know one day will not make a difference, but I want to have a good day today because I have my annual physical tomorrow and I want everything to be good!)

Needless to say, I did get a pretty good work out in.  Today, my workout was:

Barbell Squat  2 sets of 6 reps @ 40 lbs

Flat Bench Dumb Bell Press 2 sets of 6 reps @ 20 lbs

Flat Bench Dumb Bell Flys 2 sets of 6 reps @ 15 lbs

Bent Over Dumb Bell Row 2 sets of 6 reps @ 25 lbs

1 Arm Row 2 sets of 6 reps @ 25 lbs

Upright Dumb Bell Row 2 sets of 6 reps @ 15 lbs

Alternate Dumb Bell Curl 2 sets of 6 reps @ 15 lbs

Flat Bench Dumb Bell Skull Crusher 2 sets of 6 reps @ 20 lbs

Plants  3 Planks that I help for 1 minute each

I also did abs and sprints.

I tried to go heavier today, but my back is still a little stiff like, don’t know why, so I was somewhat cautious in my lifting today.  And I did lots of stretching!

I think the weather is affecting my RA.  Yesterday was not really a good day for me.  (OK, not bad, I just like to complain sometimes😫)  My back and hands were REALLY stiff, sore and swollen yesterday.  I was cold all day, I even wore a light jacket all day, and my knees were a little stiff also.  But, today, the sun is out, it is still cold, but everything feels so much better!  What a difference the sun makes.

Since we were up so early, I had a really good start on the day, I really had a rhythm going and things were GREAT!  Then, the people that clean for me, were supposed to be here at 9.  (I really like the work this women does, but she is NOT dependable, I even quit having her come for a long time, because she was either late or had to reschedule.)  But because I like her work, I asked her to come again and even set the schedule for the next 3 months.  Well, she was supposed to be here  “8:30-9” ish.  I just had this bad feeling, so at 9 sharp, I called her.  Oh, she forgot to call me, she will be late, maybe 11??????  I was very tempted to tell her not to come, but my home really needs a good cleaning and I do not have the time today!  I only have someone come once a month to do a little deeper cleaning, and we needed a deeper cleaning.  This may have been her last chance.  We will see what time she shows up.

I am sorry to vent like that but I get really tired of the service you get from some people.  They have no sense of urgency or commitment.  It is very non chalant and when I get there, I get there.  Me, on the other hand, if I say something or give a time, I am there  at least 15 minutes early, or more.  And on top of all that, I am very OCD and things have an order that they need to be done.  They were supposed to be here by 9, so they could be done by 11.  Well, now my whole day is messed up!!!!!CRAP!!!

Anyway, quit whining Tamie.  Maybe I need more coffee.  I have already made two cups this morning, I may need a third.  It helps to keep me warm and going, and I have a lot I want to get done today, and I just like the taste of coffee when it is cold!!!  And it puts me a better mood!


I really am so hungry for some sugar cookies.  I think that maybe when we get to Barcelona for our Christmas, I can allow myself one cookie.  I know that there will be lots of good bakery and pastry items there, so I feel I can have one.  Besides, I won’t bake a batch of cookies, because I would eat the entire pan, and I do not need that.

I forgot to mention that I made another batch of banana bread over the weekend.  I made this just a little different.  I added one packet of bone broth protein powder, and a few raisins.  This was really good.  The batch made two small pans, which is good because I put one (I try to hide it from myself) in the refrigerator and I leave the other set out.  I have just about finished off the one pan, and will try to leave the second pan alone until at least the weekend.  Wish me luck.

Stay Hydrated!   Very important, especially in this cold weather!

Keep Active!  If you sit too long, you will get stiff and cranky and tired and all kinds of nasty things.

Keep that smile on your face, smiling burns more calories than frowning and it helps to prevent those frown lines.
