One of my new favorite Beauty Counter Products
I just realized that Christmas is next week. I thought that we had another entire week. What was I thinking! Guess I better get my butt in gear! I should have known by watching the traffic it was getting close. Even in the mornings when we walk, the traffic is picking up. Are you ready for Christmas? What do you do for Christmas? I had not thought about the “ordinary or traditional” Christmas for a long time, but I was at the bank yesterday and you know, small talk, they asked about my Christmas plans and cordially, I asked about theirs. Their reply was a simple dinner with family, and then back to work the next day. I guess because we have been doing this for so long, I don’t think about just being home and having a meal. Is that selfish of me?
Anyway, my Macros for yesterday were:
Not quite the mix I like so I have to work harder on this today. My total caloric intake yesterday was 1450 calories and my total caloric burn was 1950 calories. My total steps for yesterday were 19,310. That was a great day for walking!
My workout today was:
Bar Bell Squats 2 sets of 7 reps each at 45 lbs and 1 set of 6 at 50 lbs
Incline Dumb Bell Press 2 sets of 7 reps each at 15 lbs
Lat Pull Down 2 sets of 7 reps each at 70 lbs
Dumb Bell Curl 2 sets of 7 reps each at 15 lbs
Shoulder Shrugs 2 sets of 7 reps each at 40 lbs
Standing Calf Raises 2 sets of 7 reps each at 45 lbs
Chest Press 2 sets of 7 reps each at 25 lbs
Close Grip Pull Ups 2 sets of 7 reps each at 20 lbs
Assisted Pull Ups 2 sets of 7 reps each at 35 lbs
I also added in a lot of Jumping Jacks, Running in Place, and push ups. It ended up to be a great workout!
I decided that since I will be a little off schedule until pretty much after the New Year, I need to do as much as I can when I can.
I was listening to a very interesting podcast this morning. The topic of discussion was pet health, and taking care of your pet so that the pet has the best health it can. In this, they were promoting a Keto Diet for dogs, and how a LOT of research has been done on this. There have been many cases, where after 120 days of dogs with cancer being on this type of diet, they test completely cancer free. The woman who was being interviewed is working with several rather large companies as well as research companies in this research. It all started because she, herself, was a fitness competitor, and she got injured. It was suggested to her that she try to follow the Keto diet to help her heal. Apparently, this worked very well for her. Her dog was then diagnosed with a brain injury and they were told the dog probably would not live to see one year old. The puppy at this time was 6 months old. She and her husband decided if the Keto diet worked so well for her, it could not hurt to try it on the dog. After several months on a Keto diet, the dog was back to normal. I have not completely finished this podcast yet, and I want to relisten to some parts, but basically, they put greens, raw grass fed meats, and fats, such as grass fed butter or coconut oil or even peanut butter, in a blender and make this food. Who knew?? Like I said, I need to finish this podcast and relisten to some, but when I do finish it completely, I will post more on this. I do give G coconut oil, which he loves, and peanut butter, which again, he loves, but he is not much a vegetable eater. Have any of you heard of this or do you give your dog a diet like this? let me know!
I know I really complained about the dreary weather last week, I get really tired of damp and cold, but yesterday and today have been gorgeous. Right now it is 61 degrees out. We just got in from our second walk of the day, I LOVE this. If it would just hold out until after the holidays, and then warm up!! is that asking too much.
OK Kidz, I know this is a shorter blog today, again, but I have some errands I need to get done yet today, I have some ATW work I must get done today yet, and I need to at least start thinking about what I am going to pack for Barcelona, so I need to go, get things done, so I can come back tomorrow and share more.
OK, I do need to share one more thing. In my attempt to stick to one Beauty care line for one year, I bought a lot of Beauty counter products, and so far I like them all, but one in particular. My lips are VERY sensitive and there are many products that will just dry them out and make them chapped. I thought I would try the
Peppermint Lip conditioner. I was not so sure the first night I tried it, but now, I love this. It make my lips soft and smooth and not sticky or greasy. You can see this and all of the other GREAT Beauty Counter Products at
OK Now I REALLY have to go!
So, until tomorrow, remember to
And leave me your comments below:
