My Journey

My Life, one day at a time!
Time is Flying By!

Time is Flying By!

It is Wednesday already, I cannot believe how fast time is going by.  And a FEW things to get done yet.  I thought that I would have time to get some things organized and set up for the New Year, but I am not sure that is going to happen.  What am I saying, I WILL MAKE IT HAPPEN!

My Macros for yesterday were:

Image-1

Again, not the best mix, a lot of carbs.  I ate quite a bit of fruit yesterday.  I just like fruit so it is hard for me not too eat too much of this!  Today, WILL be better.  My total caloric intake yesterday was 1482 calories and my total caloric burn was 2001 calories, and my total steps were 21811. This was a great day for walking.  We ended up going on three walks yesterday.  AWESOME!!! The hubs wanted to get more steps in!

My workout today was:

Dumb Bell Dead Lifts  2 sets of 6 each at 30 lbs

Assisted Pull UPs 2 sets of 10 each at 30 lbs

Leg Curls 2 sets of 6 each at 60 lbs

Flat Bench Press 2 sets of 7 each at 20 lbs

Leg Extension 2 sets of 7 each at 115 lbs

Overhead Rope Tri 2 sets of 6 each at 40 lbs

Dumb Bell Side Lats 2 sets of 6 each at 5 lbs  (I just can’t get those shoulder to work very good yet)

Rope Pull Down 2 sets of 8 each at 65 lbs

Shoulder Shrugs 2 sets of 6 each at 40 lbs

I did a lot of Jumping Jacks and Running in place as well.  Really good QUICK work out.

I finished listening to the podcast today on the Keto Diet for dogs.  No, I am not going to change G’s diet and try this on him, yet,  even though I am sure it would not hurt him at all, but it was very interesting to listen to.  They talked about a lot of pros and cons, and even things such as will this change a dogs behavior habits.  They did say that a lot of people who are told a  Keto Diet would really benefit them, will not go on a Keto Diet, because it is some what restrictive, but they WILL put their dogs on this diet!  How funny is that.  They also talked about if you do put your dogs on this diet, it is a little more work, because basically, you have to make the food.  Their is one brand of dog food that is Keto friendly, but they only recommend this in extreme cases.  I am reading over the website on this now.  I am finding it quite interesting????  If anyone wants this address, send me an e-mail

and I will send this information to you.   I am not posting it because for now, I really do not want to promote this on my blog.  I am sure you can understand.

I have not posted what I am Thankful for in a long time, too long.  I need to get back into this habit.  I am not really a religious person, but as I was walking today, and enjoying the sunshine on my face, and thinking how good I felt, I realized I really need to say thanks to my God for all of this.  So, I am going to try to do this every post again.

Today, I am Thankful for my good health, the good health of my family, the sunshine and the ability to get out and enjoy it, and that I am lucky enough to be get to spend time with my wonderful husband and family.  Thank You God!  Please feel free to leave a comment or send me an e-mail and let me know what you are Thankful for.

I have also been doing just a few minutes of meditation in the evenings, after I do my stretching.   Nothing big, just a few minutes sitting in dark and quiet and going over my day.  I feel I am very lucky for everything I have, and I need to reflect on this and take time “smell the roses”!

Let’s talk shoes for a minute. Do you have a favorite brand of shoe you like?  I really like Hoka’s and Alta’s, but for some reason, the last pair of Hoka’s I bought, although they probably have over 200 miles on them already, just aren’t doing my feet that great!   And the Asics I have been wearing, that now have over 500 miles on them, (I keep a shoe log so that I KNOW how many miles my shoes have on them, otherwise, I tend to forget and not realize how much I have been wearing them) are DONE!  I wore the Asics ALL day yesterday, and I had a lot of severe back and leg pain last night.  Well Hello, maybe it was your shoes?   I am wearing my new Alta’s today, to test my theory!  If you do have a favorite brand or kind of shoe, send me an e-mail and tell me what that is.

Well everyone, this blog, as well as the posts for the next several days, may be a little shorter.  I am really trying to wind down, as well as get shit done, and the hubs is on vacation now, so he has a few things planned, so I may cut the posts shorter for a few days, I hope you all do not mind.

So, until tomorrow, remember to drink lots, Stay Hydrated, be active, get lots of walking, jogging, running, weight lifting, what ever it is you do, keep doing MORE of it, and be happy, Tis the Season!

and remember to leave me a comment below

and come back tomorrow for more!

xoxo

I would love to hear your feedback
