Eat the Bear!!!
Happy Friday all you jitterbugs out there! We all made it and it has been one crazy busy week, again, but good!
I am actually getting an early start on this today. I am checking things OFF my list! So here goes for today.
First, I want to show you all these “cookies” I ordered and got today. I saw them advertised, and I think I read about them in a “weak” state, I was probably hungry and wanted something sweet. But they are by “Eat the Bear”, and they are supposed to be healthy cookies. This little note comes in the box, and the cover of the box is just so darn cute who can resist. They only have six ingredients, .. I just got these so I have not tried them yet, but when I do, I will let you know what I think. I thought it might be a good quick breakfast food, but I think they are more of a snack food.
Yesterday I said I was going blog on my caloric intake, macros, all those things, so here goes, I am only going over yesterday’s information. It seemed like I ate a lot yesterday, and I am hungry again this morning.
My total caloric intake yesterday was 1736, wow, that is a LOT of calories, my total caloric burn was 1878 calories. I walked a total of 7.2 miles yesterday. My macros were
As you can see, I ate a lot of carbs yesterday.
My food yesterday was:
Breakfast I had
1/4 c. oatmeal
1 egg white
Organic Green Juice
Coffee with 1 oz almond milk and stevia
1/2 container of Organic Girl Protein Greens
A handful of grapes
1 T. Nutritional Yeast
1 c. of crab meat
3 oz of left over roast beef
Air Fried Sweet Potato
1 grilled chicken thigh
For snacks yesterday I had:
1 11 oz Ensure Max High Protein Drink
My Organifi Gold Juice with 1.2 c. Unsweetened Kefir
1 Fiber One Protein Fiber Bar
I had a total of 72 oz of water ( I wanted to get a little more in, but that was all I could drink.)
My exercise today was on the treadmill. We did get out and get about a 2 mile walk in, and after that, I went to the gym and got on the treadmill. I wanted to REALLY run, but I think my knees got cold on out walk, ( Yes, I should have put my straps on,) and they were a little wobbly, so I jalked. But, my over all time was still a 4.3 mile average, which is not too bad for me. My goal is to do a little better next week. I have looked ahead to the weather, and it is supposed to be cold and rainy next week, and the hubs travels next week, so I am sure I will get a lot of treadmill and overall gym time in. Which, if I keep eating like yesterday I will NEED!

I mentioned that my doctor had recommend that I start taking Metamucil everyday, (for my stomach and digestive issues) so I did start that, I have been using it for three days now, once a day, and I can already feel the difference. I thought that I was eating such a healthy diet, and I did ask about this. It seems, that with the autoimmune diseases, and all of the meds that I have to take, these all affect a lot of things within our bodies, and the digestive system is a big one that is affected. I was told that many people with these issues also get IBS or Crohns, I hope that I am being proactive and heading this off by doing what has been suggested. I have also gone back to Gluten Free, and I am watching how much dairy I eat. This is not a big issue for me. First, I do not eat that much dairy, and you can substitute so many things, like the almond milk, and you can find so many dairy alternatives. Do any of you have these issues?
