My Journey

My Life, one day at a time!
The BAD weather is on the way!

The BAD weather is on the way!

Howdy Hoo and here we are again.

Before I go too far, I have been listening to the radio, and (I am in Atlanta for those of you that do not know) they are talking about the weather turning bad, ( meaning ice maybe snow tomorrow afternoon and thru the night).  There are schools and businesses already closing down starting tomorrow, and there are some interstates that will be closed starting tomorrow at 11 AM.  I find this very funny, but, we are in the south and people just do NOT deal with any type of inclement weather.  (I will update you tomorrow as to how BAD it actually gets)

Anyway, did everyone have a good weekend?  Mine was very good, very busy.  We started off Saturday by going to the Super Bowl Experience at the Georgia World Congress Center.  I am rally glad we went.  It was a lot of fun.  There were a lot of things we did not participate in, because they were geared more for children, but they had a lot of displays, a lot of history of the game, the Vince Lombardi trophy was on display, and there were some players there signing autographs.  I was most amazed by the display of Super Bowl Rings.  They started with the very first ring, that was similar to the average class ring, to the current rings, that are almost redunkulus!   IMG_0308.jpgIMG_0309.jpg It was hard to get good pictures, but the one on the left is a earlier ring, and the one on the right is one of the more recent rings.  It was quite the display.   I was also impressed by the helmet display. IMG_0310.jpg  They had helmets from every team displayed.  I thought this was pretty cool.

It was also very well organized, easy to get around, and because we went the first day, it was not too crowded yet.  They had a LOT of security, a lot of K-9 dogs, and of course, we had to stop and visit with one of the K-9 officers because his dog could have been G’s twin brother.  Even the eyes and the white hairs were the same.

Ok, I normally do not pick up samples, but they were handing these outIMG_0312.jpg  The hubs had one and said you have to try these.  Man, I went back and got a second.  Have you tried these yet?  These are really tasty little devils.  Hopefully, I cannot find these is a store!!!!It would be like crack!

All in all, the event was good and the money was well spent.  They had 2 different NFL shops, and we went to both of them and bought things at both.  I could have bought a lot more, but thought I had better stop with what we had.  Again, a lot of people to help you and answer any questions you had.

Sunday was a different story.  The hubs wanted to go to a motorcycle show he heard advertised.  What a bust!!!  This was very very disappointing.  We sat for a little bit, just to watch the few people that were there, and talked about how long before they no longer have this event.  There were very few people there, very few displays, and VERY FEW motorcycles.  (He is getting the itch to ride again, but his doctor has not released him for this yet, and this makes me a little nervous.  I know as soon as there is a warm Sunday, he is going to want to head out)  But, we can deal with that when the time comes.

OK, on to other things.  I have talked about my digestive issues and that my doctor recommended Metamucil.  I had been taking that, and on day three, felt it was working.  WELL, I think not.  By Friday night, my stomach felt like a lead balloon, and I looked like I was 6 months pregnant.  It seemed everything was backing up and just sitting there😫  Well, Dr. Hubs, who listens to more things than I give him credit for, told me how he had heard probiotic drinks were much better then taking the supplement, or something like Metamucil.  When we went grocery shopping this weekend. we looked at and read labels, and he actually found a probiotic drink that he felt might work.  I read the label and all sounded good, so we got some.  We also found this Kombucha IMG_0311.jpg I have had this brand below, but not the Cayenne Cleanse.  WHOOO, this leaves just a little tingle on your tongue, but I really like it.  I also did some research, and the Siggis yogurt I eat is supposed to be really good as a probiotic, and I also bought some Kefir.  This may all be over kill, but that is what I do, from one extreme to the other.  I am going to give all of these things at least until Friday until I comment on them, but I have quit the Metamucil already, and my stomach is back to normal size.

Ok one last thing before I get back to other things.  Of course, I had to make a Target run this morning, the hubs forgot to pick some things up he needed, so as I was walking around the store, I found thisIMG_0313.jpg  This has probably been around for some time, but I just saw them today.  I picked up just ONE packet to try.  Have you tried these?  If you have, send me a comment and let me know what you think.

I forgot to touch on my work out this morning.  Ok very quickly, I did not jog this morning, I did get a good jalk in, it was just G and myself, so I felt like really lifting today, so that is what I did.  I did not have a planned lift, so I do not do as good, but it was pretty good and plus the fact that I had a lot of work to do this morning, it was good.

Ok, I also want to know how many of you have gone to any of the websites of the companies that I work with?  And if yes, have you bought anything?  If so, please let me know.

I have sent out all of the Skinny Dipped Almond samples that I had, but I am getting more, so around the middle of February, I will send out more.  So if you did not get to send me a message last time that you want to try these, please send your e-mail to
