Happy Valentines Day!!!

Do you have plans for Valentines Day?   Did you get anything from your Valentines?  We have been together long enough, we just wish each other a Happy Valentines Day and get on with it.  However, this year, we are going out to dinner Saturday evening, there is a newish restaurant that we want to try.  I will let you all know on Monday how this was.  I do hope that whatever it is you do for Valentines Day, you enjoy it!  Share your pics and stories!

Ok, on with the post.  What did you all think of the kind of revamped web site?  I did the back ground color in red, for Valentines Day, but if I get more time to work on this  today, I am changing it, just so you can come back tomorrow and see what color it is.  But really, leave me a message below and let me know what you think.

For whatever reason, I’m feeling just a bit lethargic today, not really tired, but just can’t get my get up and go going, you know what I mean?  Our walk was ok, just okay, but I got a pretty good work out in.  The below is what I did today, again, I did 2 sets of 12 reps each:

Forward Lunge

Push Ups

V-ups for Abs

Sumo Squat

Lat Side Raises  (this is REALLY tough for me)

Bench Tri Pull Over

Incline Chest Press

2 Arm Overhead Tri

I did not do any jumping jacks or running in place (yet today, I might do some this afternoon) but I did get quite a few sprints up and down the hall in.

My caloric intake for yesterday was 1494 calories and my total caloric burn wasImage-17  It seems I a pretty consistent on the caloric burn and the steps.  Today might be a little lighter, just because I have been sitting at my desk working a lot and again, just a bit lethargic today.

My Macros for yesterday wereImage-16  I know that I need to work on this as well, more protein and maybe less carbs, but I rarely get that 100 g of protein.  Any tips on this?  My nutrients were

Did a little better on the sugar, but funny, I got a call from my doctor, I had blood work done last week, and my sodium is EXTREMELY low.  I can usually tell when my sodium is too low, but did not notice it this time.  So, I am working on fixing this, (as you can see I did not meet my sodium requirement yesterday,) and I am drinking water that I have added sea salt to as I work.  Again, if you have suggestions for this, please let me know.

I was doing some reading yesterday on protein, and how important protein is to so many body functions, and the things it can help with.  Now, I did know all of these things, (just like I know I need more sodium at times) but you tend to forget about things once in awhile.  For example, adequate protein intake can help with your cravings, your appetite, since protein is much more satiating.  Protein is vital in the production of new cells, in the building of muscle, it is essential for good bone health, and the list goes on and on.  So, bottom line, it is very important to make sure you get enough protein.  1 g per lb of body weight is probably a little too much for most people, and it may even be too much for myself, but I am on a seriass mission to gain at least a little muscle, and just overall health in general.  Let me know how much protein you get per day, and how you get to the number.

I think I might have mentioned last week the new show we are binge watching on Amazon Prime.  The show is the Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, and we now started the second season.  This show is great.  Each episode gets a little better.  There really isn’t a deep story behind it that you need to keep track of.  It is just a show that really makes you laugh out loud, and the other thing that I really like about it is that is real life events.  OK, it takes place in the 1950’s, but so much of it you can apply to today.  If you have watched this, let me know what you think.

Also, if there are any shows on Netflix or Amazon Prime that you are binging on, let me know what they are.  We are always looking for something new to watch!

I just got me Hello Ned CBD oil.  And I do mean I JUST got this.  I haven’t even opened the box yet.  I am very excited to try this, and will try tonight and post tomorrow my first impression of this.  Supposedly, this is loaded with 300mg of premium CBD and a broad spectrum of active cannabinoids, terpenes, flavonoids, and trichomes.  This basically means that this won’t get me high, but it will nourish my body’s endocannabinoid system, which helps bring balance to your mind and body.  Maybe I should try this right now, maybe it will give me a little pick me up?  Don’t know!!!!
