My Journey

My Life, one day at a time!
These look SO good!

These look SO good!

Here are are again, Monday again!  It seems like the weekend always goes so fast.  Did you have a good weekend?  Mine was very nice.  Got lots of good things done.

But First, my heart health motivation for the daybeetroot-heart-shape-motivational-vegetable-vector-3183574.jpg  Beets area very heart healthy food!

And, did you remember to compliment yourself this morning and give yourself some positive energy?  It’s not too late, You Are Awesome, just tell  yourself that!

On to nutrition and exercise.  G and I got a decent jalk in this morning, it was really pretty comfortable out.  Again today, I got on the treadmill and I was not that fast, just steady.  This is how I did on the treadmillIMG_0413.jpg  Not my fastest pace, but I was steady and I was getting at it, so sometimes, that is what counts.  I wanted to get my heart rate up a little more than I did, but this is what my health app saidImage-77.jpg  I am pretty consistent on the 108 max.  Maybe tomorrow I can get it a little higher.

On Friday, my total caloric intake was 1624, my caloric burn was Image-66.jpg  It was a pretty good day for steps!  My macros wereImage-88.jpg Just a little better balance, and my nutrients were

All in all,not a bad day.  It does look like I had a Lot of sodium, but that is what my doctor wants, for now anyway.

Now, on to the weekend.  Saturday morning we went to the outlet malls, the hubs decided it was time to buy some new walking shorts, that would actually stay up.  We were just a little early for the spring lines to be out, but we both did get some really good buys on shorts.  I have had the best luck recently with under armor clothing.  I am really finicky about the kind of shorts I were.  I really like the Paloemg Four Athletics shorts, but there will not be any new ones of those brought out for a couple of months yet.  On a side note, tomorrow, Tuesday, Four Athletics is bringing out a new Paelomg line, it is much smaller then the last, it is just sports bras and leggings, and in two color choices only.  You might want to check these out right away tomorrow, go to their site

https://fourathletics.com

And it find something you cannot live without, use discount code tamiew15 to get your 15% discount.  Check these out tomorrow and let me know what you think.

Anyway, I got sidetracked.  I also wanted/needed some lotion, so we stopped at Bath and Body.  Who doesn’t love the outlet store for this.  I got a full size body cream, body wash, spritz, a candle and a travel size lotion, all for $35.  We all know that Bath and Body is not  really an inexpensive store, so that was a great deal!  And I love the scent I got.

Saturday afternoon the sun came out and we got a really good walk in, before we had to clean up for dinner.  We had reservations at Arnett’s Chop House.  Apparently, this has been around for some time, but we just happened to hear about it, so decided to check it out.  It did turn out to be pretty good.  We ordered the Steak Tartare for an appetizer that was so good.  It had just the right amount of seasoning, and had a really good texture.  (They also had a bread basket that they brought out, but I did not have any, I did not ask for Gluten Free) But I did want to try the butter.  They had one that was a ricotta cheese butter and it was very tasty.  I wish I could figure out how to make that.  If you know how to make this, send me the recipe please.  Anyway, the hubs had the filet and I had a steak they called the Spinals.  No clue what it was, it was a little fattier than the filet, but very tasty and perfectly cooked.  The hubs thought I was nuts for ordering this, and not sticking to the fillet, but I wanted to try it, and really, pretty darn good.  We also got brussel sprouts for a side and these were SO GOOD.  Of course, they had bacon in them so how bad could they be?  I did not take any pictures because this was not really the type of place you took pictures in.  The atmosphere was a little more than casual, they did require proper dress, but it was not the pinky’s up atmosphere, either.  They only complaint I would have is that it was very noisy, which for me, makes it very hard to have a conversation.  But overall, a good place to eat.

Sunday we did a get a GOOD walk in and then ran our usual errands, so no big thing there, but we did watch Bohemian Rhapsody.  I liked Queens music before watching this, but after seeing this movie, I will probably listen to a lot more.  The movie was very good, very good!  It was one of those that kept you watching and interested the entire movie.  I strongly suggest, if you have not seen this, check it out.  If you have seen it, let me know what you thought.

For whatever reason, Sunday night, I could not get filled up.  We had a GREAT earlier dinner, rack of lamb and brussels sprouts, so I had no reason to be hungry.  It was just one of those nights I could not get filled up.

I am not sure what tomorrow will bring, as far as getting this post done, I have an ultra sound bright and early tomorrow morning.  I had this scheduled for next week, but they had a cancellation and apparently, my doctor stated ASAP when he sent the orders over, so this will be done and out of the way tomorrow.  (I am actually glad to get this done, to see what the heck is going on with my liver)  So I am not sure when or how long of a post I will be able to do tomorrow, but I will get something to you guys.

So guys, I have to get back at it, get a few extra things done today.  I will post when I can tomorrow and as much as I can, and if I have any news on the liver, I will update you all tomorrow.  (On another side note, my doctor did send some reading over to me, and do you know, gluten can cause liver damage, or elevated enzymes, in people with auto immune diseases)  I say I am gluten free, but there are times, every once in awhile, you just want something, so I admit, I stray.  So I guess I will find out if this is a cause or not, and when I do, I will let you all know.

Any who, need to get back at it, get more things done.  So, remember to leave me a comment below, and let me know anything you want to share with me. And, remember to

Stay Hydrated!  Whatever your beverage of choice is, stay hydrated!

Be Active!  Even though my challenge is over, I am doing 55 Jumping Jacks today and 55 Squats, are you!

Be Happy, you will feel so much better!

And come back tomorrow for more !

xoxo
