Changing to all Safer Products!
Another good day! Here we are! I just can’t seem to get my work caught up, but, that is okay, life is good.
I tried to beat my mile time on the treadmill this morning, but just could not do it. I think I was just a little cold from being outside yet. But I did do a 12:50 minute mile, which is still not too bad. Maybe tomorrow I can get a 10:25 mile time?? I will try.
As I was trying to beat my yesterday time on the treadmill today, I kept telling myself, “You can do this, You got this, no problem” I was trying to get myself motivated and I was being very positive. What was your positive motivation to yourself today?
Ok, just a few health things to talk about quickly. I have scheduled my surgery, I just want to get this done so that I can move on with getting even healthier. WOW, this is a process. I finally got it scheduled today, and now it is talking with nurses and hospitals and getting everything taken care of. I will be really glad the day AFTER this is all done. supposedly, I will be in the hospital for about 5 hours, and then come home and get up and walk the next day, like nothing happened. I am being VERY positive about this.
On to other things. Of course, I have to mention Beauty Counter! How many of you went to my site yesterday to check it out? And do you have any questions? If so, just let me know. I know I did this back in whenever it was, maybe December, I was committing to use only one skin care product for one year, to see if it helps. Obviously, I blew that out the window, so I am making this just a little easier for me. And for you if you want to join me. I am committing, (for real this time) to use mostly Beauty Counter products, for six months. I am saying six months will be the end of August. I have heard that in order to see if a product is working or not, you have to give it AT LEAST 3 months, so I figure six months is a good time.
Ok, as you see, I said MOSTLY because there will be a few other skin, hair and body products that I will use. I plan on, in maybe about two weeks, to do one entire post on all of the products I do use. But, the majority, especially for my face, will be Beauty Counter. Some of the Beauty Counter products that I already know that I like and will use for at least this six month time frame are:
The Lip conditioner,
The Overnight Resurfacing Peel
The One Step Make up Remover Wipes, (These are FANTASTIC)
The Rejuvenating Day Cream and The Plumping Facial Mist. (I have not had this for a long time and forgot how much I like this.) I know that there will be others that I will try and use, and as I get others and try them, I will share with you. You can check out all of these GREAT SAFER skin care products at
If you cannot find what you are looking for, send me an e-mail
and let me know what you are looking for, and I will help you find it. Also, I will be offering a free gift for everyone that places on order for $75 or more.
Since I am trying to use as many safer skin products that I can, I also feel it is time to clean up some of the other “household”products I use. Now, there are things that I won’t change, like the laundry detergent that I use. I have used this for a long time and I will not change this. Both the hubs and myself are WAY too active, meaning we SWEAT way too much, and I finally found a detergent that gets all the STINK out. So will not change this. But, as for some of the other cleaning products, as I run out of what I am currently using, I will change to a cleaner, safer product. For example, there is a brand called Branch Basics, that offers a cleaner, safer way of cleaning our homes. Now, I am not affiliated with them in any way, at least not yet, but their story is they believe choices like the food we put in our bodies, the paint we put on our walls, and the cleaners we use around our homes have power; the power to rob us of good health or to cultivate it. So they have developed this product line. I am going to start small, with a Starter Kit, All-Purpose spray bottle and a Mini Concentrate, which has just enough concentrate to make one full bottle. This will be a good test and if I like it, I will order the larger starter kit. I will let you all know when I get this and how I like it.
I am also looking for a new dish washer product that is safer. I have to do some looking for this, so if you have any ideas on this, please let me know. I am really on a mission here.
The other item I am going to change is candles. I burn a lot of candles, and I have learned that is not a good idea, unless you use Soy Wax or Bees Wax Candles. I have never seen Bees Wax Candles, but I am going to do some looking for these as well. If you have used these, or know where to find these, please let me know.
I am really on a mission to make my body and our home a little healthier. (I figure with all of the other crap both the hubs and I have going on with our health, I might as well do EVERYTHING I can to TRY to keep myself, the hubs, G and our home a little healthier.) Right?
Sorry, but got to go, got to get lots done this afternoon, and I still have a few errands to get out of the way, and I know that I am not done talking to nurses in regards to the minor procedure, so got to get. Got to do lots more today, and I want to order my safer cleaner products yet today. Too many things to do, but it is better than the alternative.
So, you assignments are:
