Trying to switch
Today I am going to discuss using healthier, more health and earth friendly household products, but I guess I had better start with my morning motivation.
As G and I were on jalk, I repeated over and over, “You can do this, piece of cake!” I know, kind of silly, but it helped to keep my mind off of the jalk, and I didn’t do too bad. I was a little disappointed when I got to the gym. I wanted to get on the treadmill because I was really feeling like I was on fire again, but all of the treadmills were taken. What the F___! So, went to plan B, did a little lifting and then one of the treadmills opened up and got on it, but had lost my mojo. My average pace was 4.3 MPH, and I only did a little over one mile. But, I still got that done. 🏃
Yesterday I said that I had ordered the Branch Basics Trial Kit. I also ordered what they call their Oxygen Boost. This is supposedly a cleaner you can use to BOOST your cleaning, whether it is the laundry, bathrooms, kitchen, pretty much, wherever. I think that I will have this tomorrow and am really anxious to get this and try it.
I had also talked about Bees Wax and or Soy Candles. I did some looking on line, and learned Target has Soy Wax Candles. Of course I had to go to Target today, (Actually, I just wanted a REALLY BIG coffee) but I did find the Soy Wax Candles and bought this one I love the scent of eucalyptus so I thought that I would give this a try. I’m going to try this tonight, when the hubs is home, because about an hour after I light it, if he doesn’t like it, he will most definitely let me know. If I like this, I will probably get more because I love to have candles around. And this might be a healthier choice!
Also, in my attempt to try to switch over to healthier products, I picked up this toilet bowel cleaner This has a lavender scent so I had to try it, and it does have a really nice clean scent. I had forgot that we already made the switch to Toms Toothpaste and Toms Mouthwash
which I do like the taste of these and we also bought
Ok, I realize many of you have been using most of these products already, but I a little slower to the dance and now, I am also trying to convert the hubs. It can’t hurt either one of us, right? I am still looking for a dish washer detergent, so if you do know of one that does a GOOD job, please let me know.
I am not sure about a glass cleaner. Do any of you have one you use and like? Or do you just use vinegar? I have tried that before, and for me, vinegar just doesn’t do a good job on glass. Let me know if you have any ideas.
Also, what about eye drops, especially for contact lens wearers? That would be awesome if there was an eye drop for that. If you do know of one, please send me an e-mail
Ok, I know that I am missing some products, so why don’t you let me know what safer household cleaning products you use. I would love to see what else is out there. Someone did tell me you can get a LOT of natural products on Thrive Market, but I am not sure it is worth the fee to join. Do you use Thrive? If yes, do you like it? What items do you all buy thru them and do you feel it is worth it? Let me know, I would love to know more.
And PLEASE don’t forget about your skin. Beauty Counter is great for the Safer Skin Care Products. Please go to my website
https://www.beautycounter.com/tamiewahle
and you can learn all about them. I have a big order coming in tomorrow and I can’t wait to get this. Remember, if you have any questions, please let me know. Do you know of anyone or are you having a baby soon? They have a fantastic Baby Collection. One of the people in our building will be having a baby soon, and I have ordered them the Welcome Baby Gift Set,
The ultimate baby-shower gift for the ingredient-conscious mom.
This ready-to-wrap boxed gift set includes Gentle All-Over Wash, a tear-free body and hair cleanser, Soothing Oil, a quick-absorbing skin nourisher, and Daily Protective Balm, which acts as a layer of protection for sensitive, delicate skin.
This set is actually on sale right now. Take a look at it if you or someone you know is having a baby soon. And it is in a ready to wrap gift box and ready to go.
How Awesome! And, remember, for the month of March, anyone that orders $75 or more I will send a free gift. (This will not just be little samples, this will be a full size product!)
OK, lets talk shoes for a minute. I was talking with someone this morning about jogging and running, and how sometimes, knees hurt. We talked about different kinds of shoes, and the benefits and sometimes, you just need a shoe that feels “soft”. This person was going to do some research and let me know what they learned, but what kind of shoes do you wear? I am not a person who buys the same shoes ALL the time. Lets face it. Shoes change, our feet change, everything changes. Now, the hubs on the other hand, his go to shoe is the Asics Kayano. He has told me has tried a “little” jogging from time to time, but his knees hurt. (Well, on a side note, I can think of about 200 reasons why they might hurt) but the person I was talking with said maybe he just needs to try different shoes. I just got the new Runners World Magazine and they have reviews on, I think it is the top 20 shoes. I just have not had the time to review this yet, but plan on doing this over the weekend. So, back to my question, what kind of shoes do you wear? Just send me a message below and let me know. If you do have knee problems, let me know if your shoes make a difference.
Ok, it is that time again, got to go. Oh, the hubs had a dinner last night, so I just sat at my desk and WORKED. I got through the ENTIRE pile on my desk, it took until about 7:30, but got it done and man, did that feel good! I still have a lot to do, but not NEAR as much as I did. WHEW!!!
Any who, got to go, got to work on my Beauty Counter and ATW and my websites. So, please help support this blog soon to be podcast, check out ALL of the companies that I work with and buy something, and then let me know what you think!
And, until tomorrow, Be Healthy, Be Happy, Be Active and remember to come back tomorrow for more!
xoxo
