Changing to Safer Cleaning Products

Well Hello all of you wonderful people out there. How are you today?  I am good but hungry.  And yes, I am trying to eat but after a few bites, nothing tastes good  and kind of won’t go down.  I will get more into that in a few minutes.

G and I got a really good walk in this morning,  a little over four miles.  I know that I was not going to feel like going to the gym, even to get on the treadmill.  (I think by Monday I will at least be able to get on the treadmill. )  But it was so pleasant and peaceful out this morning, we just kept going.  I would any time prefer to walk out side vs inside.  We also went on a little longer lunch walk, they are talking about rain this afternoon, so I wanted to get as much walking in as we could.

On a side note.  Are any of you readers from Nebraska?  Man, this is some nasty weather they have had there.  I have reached out to some of my friends there, and they all seem to be okay, some of their relatives have had damage, but luckily, no lost lives.

And how about Denver?  They have gotten a lot of snow and cold weather, much different then they usually have.  Again, if any of you readers are from Denver, let me know that you are okay!  Just some really crazy weather patterns.

How many of you are trying to do as I am and change your household cleaning products to safer cleaning products?  I got an e-mail from Branch Basics today that I am going to repost here, because I think this has some really good information in it.

  1. REVIEW: Do a sweep of your home and pull out all pesticides and cleaning products. Review the labels and look for toxic red flags like CAUTION, WARNING & DANGER. Read more about this process here.
  2. REMOVE: Remove all pesticides and toxic cleaning products from your home. (Yes, even those “clean” smelling wipes you’re tempted to keep or the products sealed shut you hate to throw out.)
  3. REPLACE: Replace your cleaners with ones that are truly non-toxic and safe. OurStarter Kit + Oxygen Boost makes this transition easy as it will replace every cleaner in your home!

I have been using my Branch Basics cleaner a LOT, and I really like this.  I even tried the Oxygen Boost in my bathrooms, and it does an amazing job, and there is no bleach smell.    You can check out all of their great cleaning products by clicking on my Branch Basics site

And check out their safer cleaning products and place your order.  From now until April 5th, if you order the Starter Kit, and enter Code Tamiesjourney you will get 15% off.  I am actually going to order some more today yet, that is how much I like it.  If you have questions on this, please let me know.  Just leave a comment below and I will get back to you.

One of ideas for making this blog more reader friendly was to at least once a week, I was going to try a recipe and post pics and the recipe.  Well, this might be a little down the road.  I am not making excuses, but food is just not appealing to me.  I am HUNGRY, but after about 3 bites, that is all I want.  And making anything is the last thing on my mind right now.  Maybe in a couple of weeks I will feel more like it!

This is a “side affect” of the surgery I had.  I either misunderstood the doctor when he was explaining the recovery time to me, or he was really sugar coating it.  Ok, don’t misunderstand, I feel ok, just can’t eat a lot of anything at one time.  And, I have to remember to take VERY small bites and to chew a LOT.

I was also told that I would be able to at least get on the treadmill and jog a little, well that is not going to happen until maybe Monday.  MAYBE.  I do really hope the weather stays nice because it seems easier to walk outside.  Maybe that is because G likes to stop and sniff a lot!

Tamie quit your whining!!! You are up and at it, maybe a little slow, but it could be worse.

I do have to tell you one quick story.  I learned yesterday, the doctor (my rheumatologist) that recommended the surgeon who did the surgery, saved his gallstones.  My rheumatologist had this surgeon remove his gall bladder and he wanted to keep his stones.  Apparently he had several hundred.  Man wish I had thought of that!  NOT!  I would like to know if I had a lot or not, but no, I did not need to keep them!!!

Along with getting all kinds of work done today, I am trying to pick up our condo a little.  I have been kind of neglect in my ATW work as well as keeping our home picked up.  I have a very good way of doing this.  I do a little ATW work, then I do a little cleaning.  But after I post this blog, I need to get ATW as caught up as I can.  My desk is starting to make me a little crazy, remember, I am very OCD.

Speaking of getting things done, it is time to go, to get things done, and get organized.  I need to hurry because I am getting tired and I do not know how long my energy is going to last yet.  So, remember to leave me a comment below, tell me if you have tried the Branch Basics, remember to check out my Beauty Counter site, (and don’t forget to place your order and help support this blog soon to be podcast, and  don’t forget to come back tomorrow for more.  Until then

xoxo

I would love to hear your feedback
