I am just going to jump right in today.  I slept great last night, until about 3 AM, when I woke up and realized I had not moved all night, since I was in the exact same position as when I fell asleep.  After that, I kind of tossed and turned until we got up, but what I nights sleep!

We got up and the hubs walked with us this morning, so G and I did our 2 mile jalk with him, and of course, we had coffee.  I took G home and I went  back out and this is what I did today:80Image-1.jpg

A little faster but not quite the distance I wanted.  BUT, I am still aiming for 2 miles tomorrow, Friday, in under 26 minutes.  Can I do it?  Of course I can!  Watch and see!  How did you do today?  Have you joined me in the 39 day run a mile day?

You know, I have kind of been keeping track,  for the 7 days I have been doing this, (that means 32 more days of this) I feel better at the end of the day, not so stiff, no lower back pain, just not so stiff.    And you all see my caloric intake and burn ever day, I am not losing weight nor gaining, which was my goal, and I am getting my macro mix closer to what I want.  Now, again, I am doing this for 39 days, and then I will let you know how I feel.  (The only thing I am trying to work on is my stomach.)  I know that I will never have abs of steel, but is there a way to get rid of a little “belly fat”?  If you know of a way, please send me an e-mail


Ok, on to everything else.  I ate a total of 1626 calories yesterday, (wow, that was kind of a lot for me) and my total caloric burn was 1965.  You know, now I have a question.


When counting the calories from your apple watch, do you count BOTH the active and the resting energy, or just the resting????  Does anyone know?  Let me know which is accurate.

I did not quite get my 20,000 steps again yesterday, 85Image-1  I guess I did not get that in the screen shot, but my total steps yesterday were 19,604 steps and 9.1 miles.  I am going to try to get the 20,000 steps in today.

It is a little warmer out today, we have had such beautiful weather, nice and cool and low humidity.  I think this is the end of that, and warmer weather on the way, but that is okay, I really do like WARM weather.

I think that I had mentioned some time ago that we are taking a long weekend over Memorial Day weekend in New York City.  We have been here many times, but it is such a   vibrant, busy city, and so many things to see and do.  We do have one show planned, and I want to see the new 911 Memorial, we have not seen this yet.  I would LOVE to jog across the Brooklyn Bridge, but I do not think that there is enough time for this, and I am sure I cannot talk the hubs into doing this.

But,I would still like a few ideas on good, local restaurants and or places to eat.  I am looking for local, healthy food ideas.  Do you know of any good ones?  If you do, please send you suggestions to me at
