Just another BUSY day in Paradise
Glad you guys all came back for another peak. I started out my last post thinking that I could catch you up on everything that has been going on in my life. Well, that is not going to happen. Too much time and too many things have gone on. SOO, I will kind of summarize things, and start from there. First, because this is really important to me, my walking/jogging/all time companion, and no, I am not talking about the hubs, but he is my best friend and companion, I am talking about man’s best friend, my dog, G. He is getting older, he is almost 15 now, and COVID has really been hard on him. Because we got out of the habit of our long walks and sitting having coffee in the mornings, he really seemed to age and get older. A couple of weeks ago, we had a VERY bad scare. He had a incident that was very reminiscent of my previous dog, Bear, that at 14 had a stroke. We were VERY sure that is what was wrong. I took him to our vet, the BEST vet in the world, Dr. Johnson, and good news, he just had an inner ear infection. Not that was good, but at least he could take an anti biotic and get better. I also give him turmeric, fish oil, and an aspirin every day. I want him to have the BEST life possible, and YES, we both spoil him rotten. Pre COVID, we had been traveling quite a bit. Since COVID, not soo much. We did have to go to South Dakota for a family member funeral, but that was a quick trip and not fun. We have been to Savanah, GA 2 times, and that was a nice get away. We have just planned a trip to Denver at the end of July. This is our anniversary weekend, so we thought that will be a nice place to go. There is a restaurant in Morrison, CO, called the Fort. I had read about this some time ago. The hubs has been there once, and said it is really fun. That is one of the places we do plan on going. If anyone has been there, let me know what you think I do want some input from you readers. I will see what I can do. I also want to tell you all about an awesome podcast I religiously listen to and follow their advice. It is MindPump. These are four guys that know their stuff. They talk about day to day topics, but also dive deep into fitness, wether is it diet, nutrition, exercise, or just over all well being. They do promote their fitness bundles, and I do have several. But, it is their podcast that I love. I have contacted them to see if I can offer you readers a discount. When I hear back from them, I will share with you. Oh, I almost forgot, I have an appointment with the nutritionist at Bistro MD tomorrow. I want to know how I can tweet my diet even more to, as I said, get leaner and stronger and lose more weight. So far, on this plan, I have lost 8 lbs. GREAT Meal Plan Company. Ok, let’s all get back to it. Remember to get up and move, drink lots of H2O, eat healthy, and come back tomorrow of more.
